Why you shouldn’t rush with sex

By Alicia Goodspring

To be honest there is no stereotyped way that governs just how you should have sex. Some people find it much more erotic to be fast, while others prefer things to progress at a slow pace.

Personally, I’m one of the latter. I enjoy the way everything builds up from the start, and I’m more than happy for tings to get to a natural, fulfilling end. In a few points, here are some reasons why I think you should as well:

You’re really not rushing anything

Personally, I get a little weirded out when I see people have sex and rush things. I dot get it; if you’re at home and you’re making love with your partner, then you should allow for things to build up naturally and for the feeling to last much longer.

Sex is an activity that is built primarily on the feeling of intimacy that you develop with your partner. The pleasure (which, by the way, is what we all really want) is only enjoyed when intimacy is cultivated, and you don’t build this intimacy by rushing.

So, take your time.  Focus on enjoying the company of your loved one, and with every kiss and every stroke, you will find that the erotic feeling you really crave will only linger for much longer.

Foreplay is great!

A lot of the time, the reason why sex doesn’t last is because couples love to skip the foreplay. While I understand that some people don’t feel it to be so important to the entire act, I personally think that we all should learn to have more foreplay.

Why? Just because it’s great! Apart from the fact that it is a lot of fun, foreplay helps you and your partner to explore each other. As opposed to being just meaningless, foreplay can help you gain insight into your partner (especially if the relationship isn’t so old), while discovering your partner, you get to see them in a more relaxed, laid back sense and this is what foreplay does.

By understanding more of your partner, you know how best to please each other. This way, your sex is more fulfilling, and your relationship is stronger.

Things build naturally

Another significant reason why I prefer not to rush with sex is the fact that I believe it is how things should occur naturally. Except the goal is to have a quickie (perhaps in your car or some other public place where there is the possibility of being caught), natural sex should build things up slowly and with enough passion to sustain the act.

When you just rush into things, you make sex seem like one of those random activities that you watch in porno movies. Just relax, take out time to allow the feeling of passion build up slowly, and when you finally reach your climax and orgasm, you will find that it is much more enjoyable that way.
