Question

What are the risks of anal sex?

I am a woman in my thirties, and I'm very fond of anal sex. I would like to have it often, but I'm worried that this sexual practice may be harmful to my body. I'm terrified about my butt being harmed in some way, I have heard anal sex can have unpleasant side effects like the sore rectum and things like that. Is this true, or is it just a myth?

"Curious and erotic."

Katerina answer

Listen to your body!

Anal sex should always be done responsibly – listen to your body! If violently performed and done with force, anal sex can definitely damage the rectum, and lead to incontinence, for example.

But consequences can also be cracks and pain in the rectal area. It is a bit different how different sensitive individuals are and how you handle anal intercourse and anal play.
